Tokul is a Seattle-based architecture and interiors practice dedicated to creating authentic, inspiring spaces that stand the test of time. We see architecture as a dialogue—between people, place, and material—resulting in functionally beautiful designs that feel deeply rooted in context.

Guided by curiosity and collaboration, we craft environments that reflect the lives and values of those who inhabit them while honoring cultural and ecological richness that surrounds them. Every project seeks to balance the pragmatic and the poetic—precision with craft—to nurture wellbeing and shape an enduring sense of place.

Founded in 2019 by Dawn McConaghy and Kozo Nozawa, Tokul is an intentionally small studio working across diverse scales and typologies throughout North America, from thoughtful renovations to new homes, boutique commercial spaces, and custom furniture.
