TYPE SINGLE-FAMILY RESIDENTIAL

STATUS UNDER CONSTRUCTION // EST. COMPLETION 2026
Perched on a sloping site overlooking Carr Inlet and Fox Island, this residence was conceived as an age-in-place retreat for a retired couple—prioritizing accessibility, comfort, and enduring connection to the serene landscape. The design resolves the challenge of grade by placing all essential living spaces on a single level, accessed directly from the street via a bridge entry. The main floor unfolds as a linear bar, oriented to capture uninterrupted water views. Floor-to-ceiling glazing and a full-width deck extend the living experience outward, creating a seamless dialogue between interior spaces and the panoramic horizon. This level accommodates daily life with efficiency and elegance, ensuring that mobility and convenience remain uncompromised. Below, a concrete base anchors the home to the terrain, supporting the cantilevered upper volume while housing a guest suite and exercise area. Despite its position on the slope, the lower level maintains a direct connection to gardens and outdoor spaces, reinforcing the home’s relationship to its site.
